This is a 3kw, 11inch immersed length Incoloy Immersion Heater complete with combined (operating & safety cut-out) plug-in thermostat. This product will often carry the ThermTec brand which is owned and manufactured exclusively by Heatrod Elements. The AESTB327 can be used in all standard domestic water areas including normal use in hard water areas susceptible to limescale.
The element is bonded to the brass flange with an environmentally friendly, WRAS approved, epoxy bond, making for more robust hydraulic and corrosion proof performance.
If particularly aggressive water conditions are present or the duty/usage is higher than normal then we would recommend a titanium element version which can be priced and manufactured on request.

This product can also be used to replace product code T11AN.
This product is designed to meet European Standards EN 60335-2-73:2003 +A1:06 + A2:09 used with EN 60335-1:2012 for the safety of electrical appliances that heat liquids for household and similar purposes. Testing has been carried out and the product approved by NEMKO – certificate available on request.

Q: Hi, my immersion heater has developed a fault. Resistance is 18ohm L-N. >4M Ohms L-E, N-E. I can only assume it is breaking down under voltage.
Cabling to the element is fine, MCB trips goes when mains is connected to the element.
The element is a Cotherm ELE-11-IN-800-UNV.
I was hoping to replace it with AESTB327. Should this be a straight forward swap?
Wattage, voltage, length are all the same. I don't know the thread size as the element is currently installed in an unvented tank and ideally I only want to drain it once.
